Megger MCT105 Cable Locator

A separate transmitter and receiver are part of the Megger MCT105 kit. It is intended to assist in locating and locating metallic conductors or cables that are concealed within walls or underground

Fuse or circuit breakers should be located and identified, as should breakage or short circuits in cables and electrical underfloor heating systems. The tracing of metal water and heating pipelines is another application for it.
The transmitter may generate a signal on conductors and cables with dead or isolated connections in the following five voltage ranges: 12 V, 50 V, 120 V, 230 V, and 400 V.

The receiver can detect hidden cables up to a depth of 2.5 M and allows automatic or manual adjustment of the signal sensitivity for greater accuracy. Both devices have low battery indications and an auto power off option.
Test leads, crocodile clips, test probes, and a protective carry bag are all included with the MCT105 in order to trace and find cables or conductors.
