The Megger BVM Battery Voltage Monitor is built for battery bank capacity testing on large industrial systems commonly used in electrical substations, telecom facilities, and data center UPS systems. Paired with a discharge load device (such as a Megger TORKEL) and software like PowerDB and TORKEL Win, the BVM enables a fully automated battery capacity test aligned with IEC test methods and supporting NERC/FERC compliance requirements.
The BVM uses a modular approach—one monitor per battery (cell/jar)—linked together in a daisy-chain (up to 2×120 units) for cost-effective expansion from small strings to large battery banks.
Setup is quick because every BVM module is identical and can be placed anywhere in the test string for maximum flexibility. The Auto Discovery feature lets the host device automatically detect how many batteries are connected and assigns sequential identification to each BVM unit in the string.
