The D.C. HiPot Adapter is an encapsulated high-voltage rectifier designed for use with Phase Tell meters 6702/6706. When paired with a Phase Tell meter, this adapter enables operators to conduct the following tests on systems up to 35KV phase-to-phase:
- Test underground cable sections to assess insulation integrity and identify failures.
- Verify that all grounds have been removed after working on a de-energized underground system.
The HiPot adapter features a durable 13″ fiberglass housing. Its bell-shaped female end connects to the Phase Tell meter after the conductor hook is detached, and the appropriate URD bushing adapter can be installed on the opposite end.
