It keeps the same fully automatic VT/PT and CT testing functions—delivering precise ratio and excitation current measurements—now in a lighter, more ergonomic unit with improved safety.
A larger, brighter display boosts visibility in any environment, and the oversized test button makes operation simple, even while wearing gloves. The DTR® 8511 provides fast, accurate, and effortless transformer ratio testing with zero calibration, range selection, hand-cranking, or manual balancing.
Built-in checks for lead reversals and open windings add confidence during every test. Results appear instantly, and users can store nameplate voltages to compare data on the spot. Test data can be quickly downloaded and analyzed using the included DataView® software.
