Product Overview: Seward 200R Solar Survey

Seward 200R Solar Survey

These rugged handheld units not only measure irradiance but also include a built-in inclinometer for roof pitch, a compass for roof orientation, and a thermometer for measuring ambient air and module temperatures. These additional features make the Solar Survey 100 and 200R versatile and essential tools, ensuring optimal conditions for every installation.

The 200R model now boasts Solarlink™ connectivity, enabling it to wirelessly transmit real-time measurements of irradiance, ambient temperature, and PV module temperature to the PV150/PV200 during electrical tests, as required by the IEC 62446 international standard. Results can be downloaded from the PV150/PV200 into certification software.

Additionally, the Solar Survey 200R features data logging capabilities with a USB interface for downloading data to a PC. This allows users to record irradiance and temperature at user-defined intervals over several hours or days, which can then be analyzed or included in installation reports.

These high-specification irradiance meters quickly and accurately measure solar irradiance, displaying results in either W/m² or BTU/hr-ft², making them suitable for both photovoltaic and thermal applications.

Utilizing a photovoltaic reference cell ensures more accurate and repeatable measurements of solar energy compared to meters that use simple photo diode detectors.

Both the Solar Survey 100 and 200R models include a display hold feature, allowing users to easily capture readings in challenging locations.
