Fluke Networks Voltage Detector
- Helps protect against accidental electrocution
- Is fast and easy to use. Handy as a flashlight
- Assists with OSHA compliance
By utilizing this simple high voltage detector to test conductive materials, you can protect yourself and other personnel from high voltage electrical shock in minutes. With the Fluke Networks high voltage detector pen, a technician can verify whether it is safe to work around places such as::
Transformer cases and circuit breaker housings Power ground wires or newly-driven ground rods Mobile homes, metallic siding or metal framing Pedestals, crossboxes or conduit Street light fixtures or electrical machinery
With more than 20 years of service in telecoms outside plant and power utility applications, the High Voltage or Power Detector Pen has proven to be a lifesaver. The high voltage detector uses a long-life carbide tip that is shielded by a plastic cap when not in use to detect ac and dc voltages. Simply place the carbide tip on the object in question, push the magnetic trigger, and examine the LEDs to use the high voltage detector. If the green LED lights up, the surface you’re touching is safe from electrical dangers. A harmful voltage is present if the red LED flashes.
