Battery Energy Storage Systems

To be quoted

Course Description:

This course covers Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a technology that stores electrical energy in rechargeable batteries for later use, providing flexibility, reliability, and efficiency to electrical power systems. BESS can store energy generated from renewable sources like solar and wind or from the electrical grid during periods of low demand and release it when demand is high or during outages.

Lab Time and Prerequisites:

Attendees should have basic electrical training.  Some field experience is also recommended, but not mandatory.
