Product Overview: Megger Torkel 950 Battery Discharge Test Systems
Megger’s TORKEL900 Series battery discharge test systems are fourth-generation battery discharge analyzers built for accurate battery capacity testing—one of the only methods that delivers a complete picture of battery health and performance for maintenance programs.
The TORKEL900 supports multiple discharge test modes, including constant current, constant power, constant resistance, and programmable load profiles. Add the BVM battery voltage monitor and the TORKEL becomes a complete standalone battery discharge testing system for monitoring overall performance and individual battery voltages.
Designed for safe, efficient testing, the TORKEL900 lets you test without disconnecting the battery from service equipment. A DC clamp-on ammeter measures total battery current while the unit regulates the discharge at a stable set point. If battery voltage approaches the final threshold, the system alarms—and it automatically stops the test to prevent deep discharge. Test results are saved internally and can be exported to a PC using a USB drive.
High discharge capacity shortens testing time, with discharge currents up to 220 A. For higher current requirements, multiple TORKEL units or TXL load units can be linked together.
The TORKEL900 Series is available in three models—TORKEL 910, 930, and 950—selected based on the maximum current (up to 220 A), voltage (up to 500 V), and required functionality.
