Product Overview: Megger MPAC128 Professional Acoustic Imaging Camera
Megger MPAC128 Professional Acoustic Imaging Camera
The Megger MPAC128 Professional Acoustic Imaging Camera swiftly and accurately detects gas leaks and partial discharge threats. Equipped with 128 sensors, this high-resolution acoustic imager provides clear visualization of gas, pressure, and vacuum leaks, as well as electrical partial discharge, from distances of up to 120 meters. With an IP54 rating, it enables precise targeting for repairs, minimizing safety hazards and production interruptions, thus conserving valuable time, energy, and resources.
The MPAC128 series is built for reliability, featuring a self-check function that thoroughly verifies the integrity of internal components, ensuring consistent operation of the microphone array. Both the Megger MPAC128 and MPAC128-ATEX are handheld professional acoustic imagers that support audible and ultrasonic frequencies, with the MPAC128-ATEX boasting a II 3G Ex ic IIC T5 Gc explosion-proof rating.

Using microphone array beamforming technology, the cameras capture, measure, and visually display sound source data overlaid on real-time high-definition video images. This integration allows dynamic visualization of changing sound sources as a “sound map” on the screen.
Designed for industrial applications, these cameras excel in detecting air or gas leaks in compressed and vacuum systems, even in noisy environments. They also facilitate the safe identification of partial discharge in power systems where dielectric breakdown is present. The rugged case, made from durable machined aluminum alloy, withstands moisture and dust.
Operation is straightforward, requiring adjustment of only two parameters: measurement frequency range and dynamic range. The cameras offer both picture and video capture modes for easy data recording. Test results can be downloaded from a removable microSD card or via the USB-C port for analysis and report generation.
Please read and understand all safety warnings in the user manual before operating the cameras.
