The Extech 421509 displays the temperatures of two probes simultaneously, along with the temperature difference (T1, T2, and T1-T2), on a large backlit LCD with two secondary displays. It can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit and features programmable HI and LO temperature alarms, along with offsets for both T1 and T2. The unit also includes a HOLD function and a REL mode for real-time monitoring of temperature variations from a user-defined baseline.
When used as a datalogger, the device becomes even more versatile, offering programmable time intervals and functions such as MAX, MIN, MAX-MIN, AVG, and REL. It can store up to 16 sets of data in its onboard memory and connects easily to an external PC via its built-in RS-232 port.
